Are you looking for some quick home care tips for pedicure? We have something very helpful for you coming right here in this write up. It is said that a person’s hygiene can be judged by his feet.
Often it is seen that people lay all their attention and emphasis on cleaning their face, keeping it upkeep and polished with make up to improve their overall appearance which is not true. A person’s face can be the first attraction but if the hands and feet are not properly maintained the person reflects his unhygienic way of living.
Pedicure is the perfect solution and makes it easy for one to have a quick and thorough cleaning of his feet without requiring a visit to expensive saloons and parlors. All you have to do is to heed for the below mentioned home care tips.
First of all you are required to collect the material used in pedicure. The material is easily available in any beauty supply store or any cosmetic and drug store.
Buy a dry skin buffer or pumice stone, emory board, toe separators or cotton roll and balls, top coat, base coat, orangewood stick, color nail paint, dish pan, cotton balls, towels, nail chippers, quick dry spray, lotion and paper pedicure slipper if desired.
Procedure:
1. Remove the old nail polish with the help of a cotton ball dipped in the nail paint remover; gently rotate it in round ways to wipe it off completely.
2. Take a dishpan and fill it with warm and soapy water. Soak your feet inside for five minutes just to remove the dirt. Make sure that throughout the process of pedicure whenever one foot is being worked on, the other should remain dipped in water.
3. Take out your foot and dry it with towel. Then apply cuticle remover on the nail base. Leave it for one minute and let the solution get soften. Using the orangewood or wedged stick push the cuticle backwards. Repeat the same process for the next foot also.
4. Cut short your nails with the help of nail cutter. Keep them at size of your preference. Also, beware of cutting them too short that they invite the ingrown nails. File your nails into shape your desire, (preferably keep them square) with help of emery board. Smooth the rigid or roughness caused on the surface of nails.
5. Then take the pumice stone wetting it well and rub it on the areas where you find dry or flaking skin. Rinse your foot and dry it.
6. Apply lotion and give it a gentle massage. Also massage them up to your knees and areas and legs. Relax for 5 to 10 minutes and let your skin soak the lotion applied.
7. Dip a cotton ball in nail polish remover and make sure that you don’t leave the residue of lotion on your nails.
8. Let it get dry and apply the coats of nail polish one after other with a time gap of 5 minutes. Enjoy the feel of smooth and soft skin on your feet.
